Honnamana Kere Lake
Honnamana Kere Lake largest natural lake in Coorg is located in the village of Daddamalthe, about 7 to 8 km from the village of Somwarpet. Emanating stillness and serenity in the air, nestled in the middle of a coffee plantation, green hills and artificial caves, the lake seems emerald.
The Gowri festival is celebrated with grand and the temple near the lake which is dedicated to the goddess Honnamana is decorated and people gather to lead a real pooja.
The lake is also named after the goddess Honnamana who claimed to have sacrificed her life for a cause that saved the village.
