Phang Nga Bay covers an area of 400 km 2 and is home to some 100 islands, many of which could be included in the Guinness Book of Records, either for their beauty or for their whimsical shapes. James Bond Island, with its rock pinnacle, has been a major attraction since its appearance in the Bond movie of 1974. Fortunately, it is under the protection of a national park and, therefore, no boat, of any type whatsoever, is allowed to get too close to the island due to its precarious position – large in its upper part and relatively thin at the bottom.
The two best ways to see James Bond Island are the boats or the small beach of Koh Ping Ghan. Koh Ping Ghan is another example of the magic of Mother Nature. Basically, it is a very sloping rock that contains some small caves. It is quite amazing and fun to check everything. On the bustling eastern beach, there are stalls and stalls selling souvenirs of trinkets, mostly made from seashells and woods.
