Vagator Beach

Vagator beach in Goa is a paradise for tourists and travelers. It’s located on the northernmost fringes of Bardez Taluka on the opposite shore of the river Chapora, which runs from Morjim in Pernem. Anjuna, one of the oldest tourist attractions in Goa, is situated in the southeast of Vagator beach. It is also home to the 500 Old Portuguese Fort of Chapora.

Two beaches are located in Vagator: Big Vagator (the main beach) and Small Vagator (the smaller one). Big Vagator is known for its white sand and dense palm plantations. You can’t lie down on the sand here or take a tranquil swim because it is a bus stop for domestic tourists. You will find a more private area in the small (or little) Vagator south. The prominent landmark at Little Vagator shows the Shiva face, which someone created on a rock near the shore. It has, however, been eroded due to wave action.
