It is believed that the Chittorgarh Fort is the largest fort in India and the most significant fort within the entire state of Rajasthan. The defense, known as Chittor, was the capital for the rulers from Mewar.

The fort was repeatedly attacked between the 15th and 16th centuries and was later taken by intruders. The courage and strength of those who defended it, the Rajput soldiers, wives, and children, differentiates this fort from others forts located in Rajasthan. Following each loss, the brave children and women from the Rajput warriors took part in Jauhar or self-immolation. This is among the top places to visit in Rajasthan.

The fort symbolizes the values and courage of the courageous Rajput rulers who ruled over Mewar.
