Nagarhole National Park is a charming 247 square kilometer wilderness area located in Kodagu and Mysore districts of Karnataka. Adorned with rich forest cover west of the Kabini River, Nagarhole National Park is one of India’s well-maintained national parks.

Nalknad Palace Coorg Kakkabe is a hamlet of Coorg famous for its timeless splendours, including the Igguthappa Temple, Thadiyandamol Peak and Nalnad Palace. King of Kodava, Dodda Veerarajendra, built this palace after escaping Tipu Sultan’s attack and invading Coorg.

Also called Naalnaad Aremane, Nalaknad Palace was built by Kodava king Dodda Veerarajendra in 1792 CE after escaping from Tippu Sultan’s attack during his invasion of Coorg. This two-storey building served as a hunting lodge for kings of Kodava. On the front of the palace, there is a beautiful mantapa, built in 1796 for the wedding ceremony of Dodda Veerarajendra with Mahadevammaji.
