Best Time to Visit Dubai

November to February is considered the best time to visit this emirate, as temperatures are pleasant and there’s a buzz in the air with a range of events and activities from the Dubai Shopping and Food Festivals to the Dubai World Cup.

Average temperatures in November sit at around 25°C, with highs of 30°C and lows of a comfortable 19°C. November is an excellent choice for those looking to soak up some sunshine – with reliable suncream to hand, of course. By February, temperatures have cooled even further and are perfectly pleasant, with highs of 24°C and lows of 15°C, making Dubai a popular winter sun destination.

(November to April)

Dubai’s Peak Tourist Season

Dubai’s high season is from November to April. This is when temperatures are at their most enjoyable, but you can expect higher costs for accommodation and more people at the city’s main attractions. Peak season, however, is best for beach lovers and anyone wanting to make the most of Dubai’s outdoor activities, from desert safaris to exploring the waterways of Dubai Creek.

Dubai receives fewer tourists between June and August due to the scorching temperatures that can reach up to 40°C. However, with top-of-the-range air conditioning in the hotels, malls, and restaurants, there are plenty of things to enjoy away from the sun.

Expect higher prices if you’re planning a trip during one of the annual half terms – these take place during February, May, and October. The demand for holidays during these periods is high, which could increase the cost of your trip.

(November to February)

Winter Season

Spring is perfect for those looking to enjoy outdoor activities in and around the city. Warm temperatures guarantee a pleasant experience at Dubai’s family-focused theme parks such as IMG Worlds of Adventure or Dubai Parks and Resorts.

(March to May)

Spring Season

Pleasant sea temperatures and high sunshine hours make the months between March and May months most similar to spring as we know it. While you won’t see blooms of flowers, as the city sits on the edge of the desert, you can participate in activities outside. During this time of year, the days are starting to become hotter and last longer, while nighttime temperatures are dropping, so be sure to take a light jacket for the evening.

(June to August )

Summer Season

During the summer months, visitors to Dubai will experience an average of 10-12 hours of daylight and need to seek shade during the central part of the day, when temperatures are sweltering. Activities are best enjoyed in the early mornings and late evenings, and you’ll find many attractions are quieter as summer in Dubai is considered the off-peak season.

(September to October )

Autumn Season

As with spring, you can expect warm weather and sunny days when visiting Dubai in autumn. There is still an average of about 10 hours of daylight to enjoy during these months, and sea temperatures are pleasant too, so a day at the beach isn’t off the cards.
