wat kaew korawaram One of the most revered Buddhist temples not to be missed during your visit, Wat Kaew Korawaram is one of the most beautiful places to see in Krabi. It is believed that the temple was built in 1887 and has since undergone various renovations and improvements.

Since the building is brilliantly designed with a captivating facade and interiors adorned with intricate paintings and golden Buddha idol, it is also a great place for architecture lovers in Krabi. What makes the visit to this temple all the more exhilarating is the view of downtown Krabi that you can savor from this large structure perched above a hill.

At the top of the stairs you will find the large complex of temples with white walls and unusual dark blue tile roofs, usually the roofs of Buddhist temples in Thailand are colored red and gold. The Wat Kaew ordination room is very bright and has windows open on all sides. It has a red ceiling and beautiful paintings on the light blue walls. It houses a large golden Buddha statue and precious relics of Buddha. The original Wat Kaew ordination room is right in front of the current temple and now houses the Krabi Museum of Contemporary Art.
